I had the opportunity to travel in Japan and China this year, and as a submission to Washington State University's Outdoor Recreation Center's Photo Competition (a mouthful, I know) I submitted these four photos under the "Culture" category of the contest.

In one of my classes, we had recurring speakers come and talk to us about their experience in the world of editing and publishing. The semester after I'd taken the class, my professor had gotten permission and funding to host it as a public series, and so she reached out to me asking if I would design the promotional flyers for it.

In a special, once-off daytime excursion, I explored the Palouse. Here are some photos of the people and the prairies I had the privilege of seeing.

My manager reached out to me to ask if I'd be interested in designing a logo for a new program. Using my experience in design and understanding of English, I said yes.

Inspired by a 50-year-old classic, I redesigned my favorite childhood story through a Chinese lens: suannai, almond cookies, a longjing and a panda.
